Honest reviews, no exceptions.
Reviews on RealCraft cannot be purchased, altered, or removed by businesses. Every published review comes from a real client with a verified account. Here's how we keep it that way.
Review standards
What we allow, and what we don't
Two simple lists keep the bar clear: who's eligible to leave a review, and the kinds of reviews we take down.
Who Can Leave a Review
- Only registered clients with a RealCraft account
- You must be logged in to submit a review
- Anonymous reviews are not accepted
- One review per professional per job (you can review the same professional again for a different job)
What Will Get Removed
- Fake or misleading reviews for services you didn't receive
- Competitor sabotage - professionals reviewing competitors or soliciting negative reviews
- Paid or incentivized reviews - exchanging money, discounts, or favours
- Personal attacks or hate speech - reviews should address the work, not the person
- Defamatory content - false statements that damage a professional's reputation
- Private information - phone numbers, addresses, or other personal details
- Spam or promotional content - reviews are for honest feedback only
Verified reviews
The Verified Badge
Both types come from real clients with verified accounts. The badge adds an extra layer of proof.
Linked to a completed quote on RealCraft. The client hired this professional through our platform and marked the job as done. This is the strongest signal that the review reflects a real transaction.
From a registered client but not linked to a tracked quote. Still from a real, logged-in user with a verified account, just without the additional proof of a completed transaction on our platform.
After you post
After You Post
30-Day Edit Window
You can edit or delete your review for 30 days after posting. After that, it becomes permanent.
Professional Responses
The professional can post one public response (up to 1,000 characters) with the same 30-day edit window.
Negative Reviews Stay
We don't remove reviews because they're negative. Honest criticism of quality, pricing, or communication is always allowed.
A Note on Canadian Law
Publishing fake or misleading reviews may constitute a deceptive marketing practice under Canada's Competition Act (Sections 74.01-74.06). Reviews we determine to be fraudulent will be removed, and the associated account may be suspended. Have concerns about a review? Contact us.
